FEDERAL GRANT ALLOWS NATIONAL SAFE PLACE
TO EXPAND OUTREACH THROUGH
SCHOOL-BASED LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS
Training Opportunity
The U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance has awarded a grant to National Safe Place in Louisville, KY to educate School based law enforcement officers to recognize at-risk youth and provide information about Safe Place Services and other resources that are available to them for the referral of young people. The grant specifically targets 5 pilot states: Florida, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina and Texas. There is no cost for officers to attend this training so act now to get involved with this pilot project through the BJA. Limited space is available.
