Are you in a community that doesn’t have Safe Place?
If you’re in trouble or need help, text the word “SAFE” and your current location (address/city/state) to 69866!
If you are in a city that does not have a Safe Place Program and you need assistance, use TXT 4 HELP by texting the word SAFE and your current location (address/city/state) to 68966. Or, you can contact the National Runaway Safeline (NRS) . This is a national toll-free hotline that serves runaway, homeless or other youth in crisis and their families. The NRS is accessible 24 hours a day. Services include:
- Crisis intervention
- Referrals to community based shelters, agencies and support services
- Conference calls between youth and their families or youth and resource agencies
- Transportation authorization for runaway youth returning home through Greyhound’s HOME FREE program
